Guest Chef Ray joins Craft Lab's host, Jennifer Perkins, to create a clever squash duck.
Squash DuckProject Designed by Chef Ray. Materials: 2 yellow crookneck squash 1 carrot 1 long blade Thai-style knife toothpicks - Cut and shape arms, feet, head/hat and bow buttons.
- Cut a wing off of each side and make some V-cuts to create a feather look (figure A).
- Take a carrot and cut out some toes and feet and attach to the front of the duck squash with toothpicks.
- Create a beak with a part of a carrot.
- Carve the facial features.
- Embellish the duck with a hat or whatever you desire.
