    Materials:

    2 yellow crookneck squash
    1 carrot
    1 long blade Thai-style knife
    toothpicks

    1. Cut and shape arms, feet, head/hat and bow buttons.

    2. Cut a wing off of each side and make some V-cuts to create a feather look (figure A).

    3. Take a carrot and cut out some toes and feet and attach to the front of the duck squash with toothpicks.

    4. Create a beak with a part of a carrot.

    5. Carve the facial features.

    6. Embellish the duck with a hat or whatever you desire.
