 The layer effect can work on any big fruit such as this papaya.

Layered CantaloupeProject Designed by Chef Ray. Materials: 1 cantaloupe 1 Deba-style knife set of 6 U-V cutters 1 short blade Thai-style knife - Cut off the end of the melon to form a stable base.
- Cut off opposite end of melon and discard.
- Use small U cutter to make cuts for the initial flower shape.
- Use knife to cut away a thin layer of melon under the first layer of petals.
- Remove layer and discard center.
- Use next layer U cutter to make another series of cuts.
- Repeat for each row using progressively large U cutters.
- Leave an inch or two of uncut melon at the base.
