    Beaded Hors d’Oeuvres Picks
    Materials:

rounded toothpicks with points on both ends
beads in various sizes and styles
    small rhinestones
E-6000 glue or other sturdy glue
    cardboard box or foam block
    scissors

    1. Pour a small amount of glue onto a protected surface (paper plates or waxed paper are good choices). Dip one end of the toothpick into the glue and pick up a small amount of glue (figure A). Place the glued end of the toothpick in the bead opening and push down until it is secure in the bead (figure B). If the toothpick extends through the bead, snip the tip off with scissors.

    2. With the bead still on the toothpick, dip the top in the glue and attach a small rhinestone; the rhinestone will cover the hole on the top of the bead (figure C).

    3. Set the toothpicks straight up in a foam block or cardboard box pierced with holes to dry (figure D).
