Ana Araujo of Limited EditionB. Rubber Stamps makes a pocket-size photo memory book, using photos, rubber stamps and memory-book paper.

    Materials:

Limited Edition Mini Scrap Book Stamp (the Mini Scrap Book System is an interactive set of stamps that can also be used to create minibooks for use as journals, poetry books, address books, etc.)
    Black dye-based ink pad
    Water-based markers
20 lb. paper (your choice of colors)
    Stylus
    6" ruler
    Glue stick
    Scissors
    Craft knife
Two pieces of stiff cardboard, 2 3/8" square (available precut from Limited Edition)
Color copies of photos reduced to 20 percent to 35 percent (service available at most copy centers)
    Memory-book paper or plain paper

The number of pages is determined by the number of photos you plan to use. Three pages work well for six photos; however, you may stamp as many as eight pages to allow room for 16 photos.

    1. Using the black ink pad, stamp the cover image on the paper (figure A).

    2. Turn the stamp over, and stamp the inside pages. Color the cover and inside pages with water-based markers (figure B).

    3. Using a stylus, align a ruler with the broken lines on the cover, and score. Repeat with each inside page (figure C).

    4. Cut out the cover and all inside pages with scissors.

    5. Turn the cover over, and fold in the scored flaps (figure D).

    6. Glue the cardboard to the inside of the cover, aligning it with the folded flaps. Apply glue to the flaps with a glue stick, and fold the flaps over onto the cardboard. Repeat for both sides (figure E).

    7. Cut out the center of each page, and glue the pictures in place from the back (figure F).

    8. Fold each page in half.

    9. Put the pages in order, then glue backs to backs, leaving the first and last pages unglued (figure G).

    10. Finally, glue the first and last pages and place on the cover (figure H).
