    Paparazzi-Style Party

    Project designed by Neal Wagner.

    Materials:

    one 8.1" x 12" x 12" metal flowerpot
one 12" round x 1.25" tall bamboo turntable
    liquid nails
    4.5" x 7" folded photo cards
    Hollywood tabloid magazines
word fetti girl talk words and phrases stickers
    gel medium
    double-sided tape
    glue stick
    scissors

    1. Start by inserting the invitation into a photo card and instruct the guests to replace the invitation with a photo of them with the guest of honor and bring the card to the party with a greeting inside for the guest. These can be used as place cards or to decorate the cake stand.

    2. Apply a bead of liquid nails to the outer top of a turntable (lazy Susan).

    3. Take a metal flowerpot and turn it upside down and place it carefully on the turntable's bead of liquid nails. Apply gentle pressure. Allow to dry thoroughly.

    4. Cover the flower pot with headlines and photos cut from tabloid magazines using gel medium as adhesive.

    5. Take five of the photo cards from the guests (the vertical photos work best) or make them up ahead of time. Embellish them with Hollywood themed stickers and more tabloid headlines (figure A).

    6. Use double-stick tape to adhere around the cake stand.

    7. Place plated cake on top of the upside-down flowerpot.

Note: For an additional element, make a collage of your photos with the tabloid cut-outs. Use the cover of a magazine as inspiration. Glue pipe cleaners (figure B) around the edges to add stability and printout of the night's menus on the back.
