    Alternate design
    1. Use hunter green ink and a small fir-branch-type stamp to build a tree along the bottom edge of the page. Start at the very bottom of the page and work upwards, like assembling an artificial Christmas tree (figure A).

    2. Use a fine-line black pen to scribble a roughly horizontal line on each tree (figure B). These are the "wires" to stamp the light bulbs on. This way the bulbs look like they are hanging on a wire.

    3. Using a rainbow ink pad, stamp the light bulbs on the tree. The light bulb can even be used to create the star for the top of the tree (see again figure B).

    4. Stamp a snowy "atmosphere" around the trees by using blue ink and a little stamp with dots on it and an even smaller stamp with a snowflake on it (figure C).

    5. Stamp a scrapbook journal note on a separate piece of paper and add color to it to tie the colors of the page together. Layer the note on coordinating colors of paper/card stock.

    6. Stamp a saying such as "Happy Holidays" on paper stock, cut it out, and layer it on the same coordinating colors of paper stock.

    7. To make the picture fit behind the trees, use a craft blade to cut around the trees and stick the layered picture behind them. This is easier than trying to cut the photo.

    8. Assemble the components on the proper colors of paper. Edge the page with the fine end of a coordinating color of marker.
