Guest Lori Scroggins shares her technique for using tin to make scrapbook frames with a vintage appearance.Materials: Timeless Tin 8" fancy scroll and 12" Fleur-de-Lis Decorative brads Mini brads Acrylic paint Adhesive Cork-backed metal ruler Craft knife Pencil
- Sand the front of the Timeless Tin to give the paint a rough surface to "cling" to. Sand the middle area on the back of the tin.
- Using a cork backed metal ruler and craft knife, score the center of the tin 3-4 times each in an "X".
- Lightly bend the tin back and forth until the score lines separate.
- Using a pencil or dowel rod to keep the edges round, pull each corner toward the sides. Do not allow the edge to crease.
- Paint the tin, using 2-3 coats. Let dry thoroughly between coats.
- Using and awl or paper piercer, punch holes in each corner and on the pulled back opening. Insert mini and decorative brads.
- Insert photo and adhere frame to background paper or large tin.
