  • From "Scrapbooking"
    episode SCB-433

    PHOTO

The faux glitter shakers complement the funky look of this page.
Guest Emily Adams uses a shaker by combining acid-free transparencies and slides.

    Materials:

Snap Together Slide Frames from Magic Scraps
Kaleidoscopes or Slide Sentiments from Magic Scraps
    White Shaved Ice
    Iridescent tinsel
    Pearlescent white glitter
1" Scrappy tape from Magic Scraps
    Scissors

    1. Cut word from Kaleidoscope transparency, then snap the piece into two slide frames for a single-layer effect. For a double-layer effect, cut both a word and an image from the Kaleidoscope transparency, stack and snap into the frames.

    2. To create the shaved ice faux slide shaker, first cut a word and an image from the Kaleidoscope transparency. Place a slide with the interlocking side facing you on a table, then place transparency on slide.

    3. Sprinkle with Shaved Ice and top with word transparency. Snap on other half to seal.

    4. Use same technique to create a tinsel shaker by replacing the Shaved Ice with tinsel. Or back the image taken from the Kaleidoscope transparency with Scrappy tape and rub with glitter on back adhesive surface. Assemble by snapping the layered piece into the slide frames.
