Project by Sandi Genovese.Rubber band books are quick and easy to make and they provide a perfect use for leftover paper strips. The width of the book is dependent on the size of the rubber band. The band should be taut but not stretched--this will ensure that the rubber band does not deteriorate over time. Materials: Mrs. Grossman's Paper Company stickers Canson paper Making Memories metal buckle Sakura black and silver pens rubber bands
1. Trim colored paper and fold in half. Repeat for the number of pages desired. If the book will have many pages, it is helpful to trim slivers off of the inner most pages to prevent the inside pages from sticking out beyond the cover. 2. The cover is also folded and should match the paper size. 3. Slide the rubber band into the middle fold. Rubber bands can be decorated with metallic pens or stamped with permanent inks. 4. Decorate the book covers with stickers and metal embellishments. Punch a square window out of the front cover to allow the first photo to show through or to be decorated with vellum balloon stickers.
