    The inspiration piece.

    Project by Heidi Swapp.

Re-create the look of graffiti on your pages with actual spray paint! Inspiration can be found anywhere...even in the street art that is spattered on buildings, bridges, and apparel. With this project, Heidi found inspiration in her son's spray-painted T-shirt and recreated the graffiti on her scrapbook page. Using stencils and good old-fashioned spray paint, this page is truly "off the wall."

    1. Separate perforated stencils and create the word "Believe" by mixing two sizes. Trim so they may be positioned closely and adhere to the white page using Glue Dots.

    2. Paint using black Krylon spray (figure A). Make sure to be in a ventilated area. Allow to dry and remove stencils.

    3. Sand pictures using sandpaper (figure B).

    4. Arrange photos on two pages using the spray painted white page on the left and the plain black page on the right (figure C). Adhere photos using Hermafix.

    5. Dab white acrylic paint on hinges and photo anchors; allow to dry.

    6. Attach hinges (figure D) and anchors using mini snaps (decorative only; they do not have to actually anchor the page).

    7. Age notebook page by dragging paper edges along the ink pad (figure E).

    8. Adhere journaling with Hermafix.

    9. Attach photo anchors to surround journaling (figure F).

    10. Stamp picture's date on one photo using magnetic date stamp.

    11. Paint edges of black paper with white acrylic paint using foam brush.
