    Figure A
    Project by Renee Sparks.

    Materials:

    wedding keepsakes for collage *
    4 sheets 12" x 12" ivory embossed paper
8 sheets 12"x 12" Anna Griffin ivory/taupe Antique Rose paper
    8 sheet 12"x 12" ivory striped vellum
    paper trimmer
    metal ruler
    pencil
    boning tool
    scissors
    Fiskars heart border punch
    1/4" and 1/8" wide two-sided mounting tape
    vellum mounting tape
K & Company embossed journaling stickers
    gold metallic pen
    Offray ivory picot ribbon
Jolee’s or Hirschberg Schultz wedding dress embellishment
    deckle-edge scissors
    white hook-and-loop dot
    copies of wedding photos
hot glue gun with glue sticks
iron with pressing cloth - optional

    * You can use the wedding keepsakes of your choice. We used:
    - pieces of satin and lace leftover from dress alteration
(Note: If you don’t have actual material or lace from the dress available, consider scanning part of the dress into your computer and printing it out for use in your collage page as shown in figure A).
    - receipt from wedding dress purchase
    - piece of eyelet lace with ribbon leftover from making garter
    - piece of netting leftover from making veil
    - small white silk flowers with stamens used for veil
    - organza ribbon used in bouquet
    - pressed or scanned flowers from bride’s bouquet
    - pearls, bead, rhinestones, sequins or buttons from wedding dress, wedding shoes, or veil
    - receipts from various wedding-related purchases: rings, florist, etc. (or reduced photocopies of receipts)
    - photo of bridal shop where dress was purchased or of bride trying on dress for the first time

Note: Except for the main bridal photo in the center of the page, we used reduced-size copies of photos.

    1. Cut eight 9-3/4" x 9-3/4" x 14" triangles of Antique Rose paper and four matching triangles of striped vellum paper.

    2. Apply 1/4-inch mounting tape to back of one Antique Rose triangle. Align an additional Antique Rose triangle over taped piece, right side up, and press firmly in to place. Repeat for remaining papers until you have four flaps.

    3. Adhere vellum tape to the back of one striped vellum triangle. Press onto top of one Antique Rose side. Repeat with the other vellum cut outs for the other three flaps.

    4. Use straight edge of ruler to fold each flap 1 inch from the bottom of the 14-inch side. Use boning tool to form a firm crease at each fold. Use scissors to cut away excess from each flap fold at triangle edge.

    5. Apply 1/8-inch mounting tape to back of 1/4-inch ribbon. Beginning at the back edge of the folded flap, press ribbon onto edge of vellum. When you reach the triangle point of the flap, fold ribbon over on itself and continue to the opposite flap edge.

    6. Place one piece of embossed paper face down onto work table. Apply two strips of 1/4-inch mounting tape to the vellum part of the flap fold. Align folded strip with one edge of the back of the embossed paper and press firmly into place. Repeat with the other three flaps until each side of the embossed paper has one flap adhered to it. Set this assembled piece aside.

    7. Cut four 7-3/4" x 7-3/4" x 11-1/2" triangles from the embossed paper. Punch the heart border punch down each 7-3/4-inch side of each triangle (figure B).

    8. Apply 1/4-inch mounting tape to the back of each embossed triangle on all three sides. Note: Do not place tape over punched areas but just beside them--otherwise, the tape will show through and be sticky through the punched areas. Press one triangle onto the inside of each flap.

To add collage elements to inside of flaps:

    1. Reduce photos to wallet size or smaller. Behind the photos, add one or two corner pieces cut from scraps of the Antique Rose paper and punched with the heart border punch (figure C).

    2. Adhere netting and ribbon using vellum mounting tape.

    3. Attach eyelet ribbon with either 1/4-inch mounting tape or hot glue.

    4. Adhere copies of receipts, etc. with mounting tape.

    5. When all collage elements are adhered, journal with gold metallic pen and adhere to flaps (figure D).

    To create the center page:

    1. Place one sheet of embossed paper face up onto work surface.

    2. Arrange piece of white satin diagonally on paper. If desired, use iron and pressing cloth to iron down creases and folds in fabric. This will cut down on some of the bulk of the finished page. Adhere fabric securely in several places with mounting tape or hot glue. Fold top and bottom edges of material over the edges of the paper and adhere to the back.

Note: Care should be taken that none of the glue is allowed to show. Although it dries clear, it is not invisible and will still be able to be seen on the finished page if it's visible when assembling.

    3. Adhere punched Antique Rose corners to back of central bridal photo. Use 1/4-inch mounting tape to adhere photo (with corners added) to center of embossed page with satin adhered.

    4. Use vellum tape to adhere wide lace diagonally in bottom right hand corner of page (figure E) and organza ribbon in top left hand corner of page. Use scissors to trim excess lace and ribbon at edges of paper.

    5. Use hot glue to adhere small white silk flowers randomly across page.

    6. Add journaling with gold metallic pen to embossed sticker and press onto page.

    7. Turn assembled page face down onto work surface. Apply 1/4-inch mounting tape completely down each side and top and bottom edge. Apply several more strips down sides and center of page.

    8. Place previously assembled page with flaps face up on work surface. Align taped center page face up over flap page and press firmly into place (figure F).

    9. To make the seal: Cut a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of embossed paper. Use deckle-edge scissors to cut around piece. Adhere wedding dress embellishment to center of embossed cut out. Adhere embossed sticker at bottom right hand side of embellishment (figure G).

    10. Adhere hook side of hook-and-loop dot to center back of embellished, embossed cut out.

    11. Close flaps of page. All four triangle points should meet in the center without overlapping. Join loop side of hook-and-loop dot to the adhered hook side of the dot. Press onto page. Dot should adhere to the point of the right side flap and allow the page to be opened and closed by pulling the hook-and-loop dot apart.

    12. Add journaling to embossed sticker and press onto center of bottom flap.
