    illustration board or 300 lb. watercolor paper
    Uhu glue stick

    1. To make a seamless collage, you need to work in layers. First cover your board with background papers that are ripped and cut.

    2. Glaze over papers to meld them together (figure A).

    3. Your second layer will stand-out more. Rip photo and school days paper and glue on board (figure B).

    4. Bridge elements by gluing transparent papers to collage. Blend edges with glaze similar to the page shown in figure C.

    5. Stamp protractor on collage (figure D). Heat set ink or let dry overnight.

    6. Swipe gesso across picture and then wipe off with damp paper towel (figure E). Sponge gesso through netting on the picture to create texture.

    7. Age picture further by using the stipple brush to add a bit of brown ink to edges of collage.
