French Country Album From "Scrapbooking" episode SCB-364

By mixing papers and patterns, a French Country look is easily achieved.

Grace Taormina uses a variety of handmade papers to create an album evocative of French country elegance.

Materials

A variety of handmade papers
Watercolors
Rubber stamp in floral motif
Illustration board
Ribbon
Scroll stamp
Scroll frame stamp

1. Stamp floral motif with black ink on mustard color handmade paper.

2. Fill the floral outline with red and green watercolors (figure A).

3. Stencil scroll background pattern in mustard over red handmade paper (figure B).

4. Adhere to illustration board and trim with ribbon.

5. Stamp scroll frame in red ink onto gold handmade paper. Layer green handmade paper and red handmade paper (trimmed with scallop-edged scissors) to create the back.

6. Cut a piece of mustard paper to fit gold frame. Stamp flower on paper and fill with watercolors. Mount into frame.
