Materials: Metallic paint (#671 -- Peridot, #669 -- Periwinkle) Stencil (#53601 -- Casa Blanca) Stamp (#53773 -- Leaf stamp) Spouncer (#1533 --Round sponge) Fabric ( #5590 -- Shimmer Velvet Aubergine, #5706 -- Chambray, #2698 -- Navy) - Spray a stencil with adhesive and center on the fabric panel. Work on a padded surface such as an ironing board.
- Using a metallic acrylic paint, stencil the design onto the fabric (figure A).
- If working with a stamp, use a small roller brush to apply paint to the stamp. Wipe any paint off the edge of the stamp with a cotton swab.
- Press on the stamp, using body weight to get a solid imprint (figure B).
- Let the fabric dry overnight.
- Set the paint by putting the material in a dryer for about 45 minutes. Commercial dryers are good because they get hotter than residential models.
- Sew panels together and shape into pillow covers, adding luxurious trims and tassels (figure C).
- To cover a neck roll, simply sew a tube of fabric and tie off both ends with cording and tassels.
