    Materials:

    wood recipe-card box
    craft paint
    foam brush
    rub-on letter transfers (for monogram)
    4 large beads
    E6000 glue
    drawer pull
    hand drill
    large tree stamp
    small acorn stamp
    stamp ink
    craft paper
    découpage medium
    wooden craft stick

    1. Paint box with craft paint (apply two coats and let dry between coats).

    2. Stamp the tree design on a piece of craft paper (figure A). Cut out design and let dry (figure B).

    3. Center the handle on the top of the box and use a pencil to mark the drill holes (figure C). Drill holes in the top of the box and attach the handle (figure D ).

    4. Position stamped image on front of box; bend cutout along the seam where the lid and bottom half of box meet. Cut along seam to create a tree cutout with a top and bottom.

    5. Decoupage top of tree cutout to top front of box, and bottom cutout to bottom front of box, making the tree appear to be one cohesive cutout (figure E).

    6. Place monogram transfer side down and rub with a popsicle stick; make sure the entire transfer changes color to ensure a complete transfer (figure F).

    7. Turn box over and glue 4 large wooden beads to the base of the box and let dry (figure G).
