Project designed by Lisa Shepard Stewart.Materials: photo acrylic box frame (at least 2" larger all around than the photo) acrylic craft paints 1-2 potatoes paring knife or vegetable peeler sponge craft brush Zimbabwe Potato Stamped Frame - Plan three to four designs for the stamps. Simple hand-drawn motifs will look most authentic.
- Cut potatoes into three or four slabs with flat edges. Carve designs into the flat surfaces. Blot dry.
- If desired, mix acrylic paints for custom colors. Apply paints to stamps with sponge brush.
- Mark position of the photo on the white cardboard insert of the box frame. It can be centered or asymmetrical.
- Stamp around the remaining surface of the cardboard insert. Let dry. Position photo with double-sided tape or spray adhesive. Assemble the frame and hang.
