Project designed by Lisa Shepard Stewart.Materials: photo picture frame with mat African batik fabric or similar (color-coordinated to photo) 1/2 yd. of HTCS Trans Web paper-backed fusible web African Batik Mat Frame - Separate the mat from the picture frame.
- Cut fabric to the size of the mat, plus at least two inches all around. Apply fusible web to the wrong side of the fabric.
- Cut away the center of the fabric so that at least a 1" border remains around the inner edges of the mat.
- Center the fabric over the mat and fuse. Clip the inner corners and fold in and then fuse. Fold in the outer edges of the fabric; fuse. Fuse again from the front of the mat for a smooth, secure bond.
- Assemble the photo, mat and frame and then hang.
