Kaarina Aufranc uses plain cardstock, a photograph and the sewing machine to create thank-you cards. The photograph is glued onto the cardstock, and she uses metallic thread and a decorative stitch to border the photograph all the way around.

1. Fold cardstock in half.
2. Glue photograph to center of front of card.
3. Sew around the border of the photograph with a decorative stitch and metallic thread (figure A).
