Copy an image onto the Lazertran transfer paper (figure A). The Lazertran will transfer any photocopy you have onto great paper you can use for transferring.
Cut out image to fit on the flat area of the plate.
Place transfer into the water and allow it to separate from the backing paper.
Place transfer onto plate and position where you want it to be. Dab the excess water off with a paper towel and smooth the image onto the plate. Work from the center by pulling the spatula from the center out (figure B) and dabbing the excess water off. Continue until the image is completely smooth and dry. Since this will be used for decoration, it will not be baked.
Paint decorative images onto the border of the plate around the transfer with acrylic paint (figure C ). Since this is being used for decorative purposes, no special paint is required. This plate is for decorative purposes only -- you cannot eat off it and it is not washable.
Note: Be sure to measure the plate before going to the hardware store. Hangers come in a variety of sizes.
Wire a length of an old necklace onto a plate hanger and clip onto the plate.
Hot glue an old piece of jewelry onto a furniture tack.
Hang the plate with a nail using the plate hanger frame. The jeweled furniture tack is decorative.
