Cold Laminate TechniqueProject designed by Elizabeth Dunn. Materials: laminate sheet black and white copy from a laser printer shallow tray with water trading cards paint - Cut laminate sheet about the size of your black and white image. Remove the protective backing and place sticky side on top of the image. Burnish it.
- Dip the card into a tray with water. Begin rubbing the white paper with your fingertips (figure A). Continue to rub until the paper is removed.
Note: The acetate will stay sticky even though it has been in the water. - On a trading card, take some paint and create a painted background of your choice (figure B). You can also add words and letters.
- Place the acetate, sticky side down onto the trading card.
Tip: A great idea for a candle is to stamp a design on a piece of laminate and color with markers. Peel off the back and place the acetate on your candle (figure C).
