    Funky Folded Envelopes

    Materials:

    purchased envelopes in various sizes to use as patterns
    pencil
    scissors
    bone folder or ruler
    glue stick
    scrap or handmade paper, magazine pages, wrapping paper, etc.
    optional: decorative stickers

    1. Carefully peel apart the glued edges holding together a purchased envelope (figure A). Trace the shape of the opened envelope onto paper and cut out shape.

    2. Fold in the side flaps first, then fold in the bottom envelope flap. Reinforce sharp folds using a bone folder or ruler.

    3. Use a glue stick to adhere the bottom flap to the side flaps where they meet.

    4. Fold the top flap down and score with a bone folder or ruler. Use a glue stick or decorative sticker to seal the edges. Add stickers and other scrapbooking embellishments, if desired.
