    Materials:

2 packages of two different bright-colored flavored drink mixes
2 raw eggs (one for each drink mix color)
    wire cooking rack
    clear spray paint
    large needle
    bamboo skewer
    confetti
party horns (one for each egg)
    hot glue
    ribbon scraps
    2 plastic cups

    1. Create a dye bath by combining each color of drink mix and 1 c. water in a plastic cup. Add an egg to each dye bath and leave for approximately 2-3 minutes, or until desired color is reached. Let dry and spray with clear acrylic spray paint.

    2. Use a large needle to pierce a hole in one end of each egg. Continue piercing the egg until the opening is about the size of a penny. Insert skewer into the egg and stir to break up the egg and make it easier to empty the contents (figure A). Rinse out the egg and invert the shell on a rack for drying.

    3. Roll a scrap piece of paper into a funnel. Insert the small end of the funnel into the egg and fill the egg with confetti (figure B).

    4. Seal the hole on the egg with a piece of tape (figure C).

    5. Hot-glue fun trim or ribbons around the party horn. Glue the egg to the horn by applying a bead of hot glue around the inside rim and placing the egg, tape side against the horn, on the end (figure D).

    6. Crack the egg on top of a friend’s head for good luck.
