    Soot Technique

    Project designed by Elizabeth Dunn.

    Materials:

    lit candle
    glossy white paper
    rubber stamp(s)
    spray sealer

    1. With the slice surface face down, swiftly wave back and forth a glossy card stock across but through the heart of a candle's flame. Watch soot emerge on the surface.

    2. When satisfied, stamp dry non inked rubber stamps into the soot (rubber stamp will remove soot).

Tip: You can always add more soot or smear off soot if you aren't happy with results.

    3. Spray the surface with sealer after the stamping is completed.
