    Drip Monoprinting Painting Technique

    1. Drizzle two to four colors of fluid acrylic paints in shades of blue and silver over the surface of drawing paper. Take a second piece of drawing paper and take a monoprint.

    2. Drizzle an interference blue fluid acrylic to add a little hint of blue contrast over the surface and continue to take a monoprint by placing the second paper on the top of the paper with drizzled paint and gently rub the top of the paper. Continue to move paper and take prints until the entire surface is covered with paint.

    3. Stamp through a piece of star patterned sequin waste with heavy bodied acrylic paint to add accents of stars.

    4. Apply heavy bodies gold acrylic paint to a star stamp with a foam brush. Stamp the star pattern around the paper (figure A).

    5. Let dry.

    Creating Fusible Collage Quilt Block

    1. Cut painting into freeform collage pieces to fit the front of the card. Place the cut pieces onto iron-on fusible adhesive in a collage fashion. Place a piece of parchment paper over the collage pieces and iron the collage pieces onto a piece of fusible iron-on adhesive. Follow the directions on the package.

    2. Create a card by folding a piece of cardstock in half and trimming the edges with scissors.

    3. Remove the backing paper and place collage onto the front of the cardstock card shape.

    4. Place the piece of parchment paper over the collage and iron it onto the cardstock.

    5. Create a holiday greeting on the computer in a word processing program and print on acetate. Cut out the greeting and attach it to the front of the card with eyelets or brads.
