    Blended Beauty

    Materials:

white cardstock cut to bookmark shape
black sparkly embossing powder (Black Diamond by Judikins)
    black pigment ink
rubber stamps (Judikins, M.J., Barber, ERA Graphics)
    2 colors of dye-based re-inking fluid (Marvy Re-inkers)
    water
    paintbrush
    tray to mix paints
    heat tool
    ribbon

    1. Starting at the bottom of the bookmark and working upward, stamp and emboss various images.

    2. Using the tray as your palette, and working from the bottom up, start with one re-inker and paint a band of color.

    3. Mix the same color with water, paint a band of diluted color above it.

    4. Mix a tiny bit of the second color, diluted mix, and paint a new band. Add a dab more of the second color to the mix and paint with that.

    5. Take the second color, dilute with water and paint.

    6. Reverse the process, this time adding in the first color, until you arrive at the first color in its purest form. Continue in this fashion until you reach the top of the bookmark.

    7. Add ribbon for embellishment.
