    Passport Cover
    Tools:

    scissors
    fine-point permanent marker
    bone folder or credit card
    ruler
    8"x6" scrap of decorative paper
    clear self-adhesive shelf liner
    thread
    sewing machine

    1. Apply shelf liner to the right side of the paper (figure A). Working from the center out, use the bone folder or a credit card to press out any air bubbles (figure B).

    2. Repeat step 1 on the wrong side of the decorative paper.

    3. With the ruler and fine-tipped permanent marker, mark off 7-3/4"x5-1/2". Trim the laminated paper on the marked line (figure C).

    Inside Flaps

    1. Cut four pieces of shelf paper, each 4"x6". Stick two of the sheets together (sticky side to sticky side) and smooth out any air bubbles. Repeat for the remaining two pieces. Use a ruler and pen to mark off a 5-1/2"x3" square on each piece. Trim both pieces on the marked line.

    2. Line up the clear flap pieces at the side edges on the inside of the passport cover (figure D). The inside is the nondecorative side of the paper.

    3. Using your sewing machine and beginning on the lower back of the cover, topstitch 1/4" all the way around the edges of the cover (figure E). Trim the edges close to the stitching line (figure F).

    7. Fold the passport cover back, inside facing up, and insert passport.
