    Tools:

    letter-size lamination sheets
    lamination machine (or copy shop)
    children's artwork (letter-size or smaller)
    letter-size cardstock paper
    decorative scrapbook paper
    acid-free glue stick
    scissors
    3-hole punch
    1 -1/2 yards decorative ribbon

    1. Trim artwork to letter-size (8"x10") or smaller, if necessary.

    2. Mount artwork to the front and back of the cardstock paper using an acid-free glue stick. Frame out smaller artwork by mounting it to decorative scrapbook paper (figure A).

    3. Draw or use the computer to create a cover and a backing.

    4. Laminate each sheet (figure B). Hole-punch the sheets and place in the correct order (figure C).

Note: If you don't want to use a ribbon tie, ask the copy shop to bind the book, and skip the next step.

    5. Cut ribbon into 1/2-yard lengths. Thread each length through a punched hole and tie (figure D). You can create color copies of the artwork and make multiple books for gift-giving.
