    Figure D
    Vellum Sleeve Invitation

A simple motif stamp creates an elegant background for an invitation presented in a vellum sleeve.

    Materials:

    ivory card stock
    7-1/4" x 5-1/4" ivory envelope (A7)
    vellum
    Anna Griffin platinum solid paper
All Night Media Anna Griffin medallion stamp
All Night Media Anna Griffin gray ink pad
    decorative-edge scissors
    computer with printer
    adhesive
    scissors

    1. To make the invitation: Cut a 4-1/4" x 6-1/4" piece of platinum paper.

    2. Stamp the medallion motif on the center with gray ink.

    3. Type the text of the invitation on the computer and print out on the gray paper (figure A).

    4. Cut a 4-3/4" x 6-3/4" piece of ivory card stock. Adhere the invitation onto the card stock (see also figure A).

    5. To make the vellum sleeve: Cut a 7-3/4" x 10" piece of vellum. Score 2-1/2 inches and 7-1/4 inches in from the left to the right; then score 1 inch from the bottom edges (figure B).

Note: You can also use the pattern found in the PDF Pattern file below the image at the right to make the vellum sleeve.

    6. Cut out the 1-inch sections on the bottom left and right corners (figure C).

    7. Fold on scored lines. Fold flaps in from both sides and adhere to eachother, being careful not to get any glue in the interior of the sleeve, which will seal it closed.

    8. Fold bottom section up and adhere to the flaps on either side (figure D).

    9. Cut along the top with decorative-edge scissors or in a soft curve using regular scissors and insert invitation into sleeve.

    Banded Invitation With Lined Envelope

Subtle yet elegant details like embossing and watermark inks create a one-of-a-kind card for a special occasion.

    Materials:

    Anna Griffin platinum solid paper
All Night Media Anna Griffin scroll border stamp
All Night Media Anna Griffin climbing rose background stamp
All Night Media Anna Griffin scroll border stamp 580H08
All Night Media Anna Griffin gray ink pad 19ASL
    platinum satin ribbon
    2 sheets ivory card stock
    7-1/4" x 5-1/4" ivory envelope (A7)
    pearl embossing powder
    embossing heat gun
    decorative-edge scissors
    adhesive
    scissors

    1. To make the card: Cut a 10" x 7" piece of ivory card stock. Score and fold in half.

    2. Stamp climbing rose background on platinum paper with grey ink, covering a 6-3/4" x 4-3/4" area. Cut out this area and adhere to the front of the card.

    3. Stamp a 2" x 11" strip of ivory card stock using the scroll border and grey ink.

    4. Shake pearl embossing powder on the stamped scroll border and heat to emboss.

    5. Cut out the embossed strip with decorative edge scissors, leaving a 1/4-inch border on either side of the embossing. Score 3 inches from each end.

    6. Fold the embossed strip around the card and adhere ends together in the back. Wrap with ribbon tied in a bow.

    7. To make the envelope liner: Stamp the climbing rose on platinum paper with grey ink.

    8. Trim to fit in the envelope (making sure not to cover the glue area of the envelope) and adhere inside.
