Materials:helmet Fine Scotchbrite pad wax and grease remover Createx "Auto Air" paint (varied colors of choice) House of Kolor Polyurethane "Floclear" HVLP spray gun double action airbrush gun air supply stencil Airbrushed Skull Helmet - Sketch out stencil. Use transparent vellum and a stencil burner to create your stencil.
- Thoroughly wash the helmet and allow to dry.
- Scuff the entire surface with fine Scotchbrite pad.
- Spray your color of choice using an HVLP (high volume, low pressure) or smaller "hobby" type spray gun. Spray in very light coats and cure with a heat gun between coats.
- Apply your stencil with tape and using an airbrush, spray areas of the ripped plastic with a dark hue then your base coat.
- Apply candy coatallow to dry.
- Mix clear and shoot two coats following manufacturer's specifications. Color sand and apply additional coat of clear if necessary.
- Buff and polish.
