Clean surface thoroughly with white vinegar to prep it for the paint.
Sketch bouquet and scallops onto the watering can with a dry erase marker (figure A).
Paint roses by mixing white paint with a little red on your brush to get a pink and then just fill in the outline with the pink paint. Dip your brush into the red and put some in the center of the rose (figure B) and along the edges to highlight it. You do not have to clean your brush in between painting the roses. You do need to clean it if you add different flowers, and then clean it before you paint the steams and leaves.
Paint scallop border. Allow paint to dry according to manufacturers instructions.
Tip: Thick paint helps vibrant colors to pop.
Wipe off any dry erase marks with a wet paper towel after the recommended drying time.
