    From "Uncommon Threads"

    Everything Cloths
    Materials:

premium gauze cloth diaper (Gerber's 18.5"X14.5")
    washable fabric cut to 19.5"x5"
    sewing machine
    iron

Note on fabrics: Any cotton, rayon or polyester fabric can be used (as long as it is washable). This is a great way to use remnants.

    1. Measure the middle lining of the diaper (figure A) and add 1/2" on each side

    2. Cut the fabric to 19-1/2"x5".

    3. Place the fabric over the middle lining (figure B). Fold under the 1/2" on each side and iron (to mark for sewing).

    4. Sew the fabric over the middle lining (figure C). Because the middle lining is already stitched, you just follow the stitching lines for the fabric.

To give the cloths a different look, eyelet or lace trim can be used along the middle and/or outer edges (figure D).

Nadine Ono packages her Everything Cloths in a set of three: two of the main fabric and one of a coordinating fabric. They are folded in thirds and tied with a ribbon to which a label is affixed. If you prefer, you can pack one by rolling it up and tying it with a ribbon.
