    Krazy Kat Frame
Maliaka Bugjo makes a charming frame for a cat's photo. She cuts the shape and pieces for the frame stand out of cardboard, wraps the cardboard with faux fur and sews the two sides together with a whipstitch. Finally she embellishes the face with craft foam, wire and buttons.

    Materials (figure A):

    3 pieces heavy 8"x10" cardboard
    1/3 yd. fun fur
    1/3 yd. cotton fabric
    2 buttons
    3 paperclips
small piece of pink felt or craft foam
    thread
    hot glue

    1. Cut 2 cat shapes from cardboard (figure B). Cut out a hole in one for a photograph (this will be the front of the frame).

    2. Lay the front piece face down on the wrong side of the fun fur. Cut the fur around the frame, leaving a 1" edge.

    3. Wrap the edge of the fun fur around the cat shape, hot-gluing it as you go along (figure C).

    4. Wrap the cotton around the second cat piece in the same manner.

    5. Whipstitch the front and back cats together (figure D).

    6. Sew on button eyes. Bend paperclips into whiskers and hot-glue onto center of cat face.

    7. Cut middle of ears and nose out of pink material and glue into place (figure E).

8.Cut 2 frame stand pieces out of cardboard and wrap in cotton, making sure to use opposite sides so that the front and back pieces match.

    9. Stitch the stand pieces together; then stitch them to the back of the cat at an angle, allowing the frame to stand alone. Reinforce the stand with glue, if necessary.
