    Materials --

    Candied walnuts (see recipe below)
    New empty paint can
    Scissors
2 coordinating sheets of scrapbook papers
    Black pen
    Tacky glue
    Oval scallop punch
    Small buttons

    1. Cut a 1" strip of the scrapbook paper to fit around the can.

Note: Paint stores can sell you brand new small paint cans. Be sure and wash them out good with soap and water before using.

    2. Cut a scalloped oval from the coordinating paper using the punch (figure A).

    3. Write "Candied Walnuts" on the oval with a pen.

    4. Glue the strip around the center of the can with tacky glue.

    5. Adhere the oval on top of the stripe (figure B).

    6. Glue button to top of the oval.

Note: You could use a rhinestone, flower, etc. instead of the button.

    7. Fill the can with the walnuts. You can keep nuts fresher longer if you first wrap them in plastic then place them in your can.

Large egg white at room temperature
    1 tsp. water
    2 cups walnut halves
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
