    You’ll flip your lid for these fun recycled jar coasters that will add laid-back style to any table.

    Fancy Recycled Jar Coasters
    Materials:

    metal jar lids (pickle jar lids are the perfect size)
    fun images
    glue stick
    loose glitter and/or glitter paint
    rhinestones and/or sequins
    Castin’ Craft Clear Liquid Plastic Casting Resin
    resin catalyst
    face mask
    disposable gloves
    disposable plastic container
    disposable mixing stick or spoon
    felt or cork
    tacky glue

    1. Print or cut out a fun image. Glue the image to the inside of a clean metal jar lid (figure A).

    2. Glue glitter, rhinestones, sequins, etc., to the image and let dry (figure B).

    3. Carefully read all of the instructions on the resin and catalyst before mixing. Wearing a mask and gloves and working in a well-ventilated area, mix resin and catalyst in a disposable plastic container, following instructions and mixing ratios (figure C). To prevent fingerprints, let the resin cure for 2 days. Place a box over the lids to keep out dust as they cure.

    4. When cured, glue a piece of protective felt or cork to the back of the lid (figure D).
