    Plant this magical, mystical lamp.
Who says you can only decorate with trees at the holidays? Not Michele Beschen. The B. Original host loves to bring nature indoors with her creations, including this charming floor lamp that looks like a mystical tree.

Built from driftwood and grapevine, this tree glimmers with chandelier pendants, tiny mirrors and strings of lights. B. Original and plant your own faux tree floor lamp; scroll down to get started.

    • Gather or purchase several grapevines or lengths of willow that are still fairly flexible.

Give some sparkle to your grapevine tree.

    • Work the vine up the trunk – wrapping the vine up and around and letting some protrude out to look like branches (figure B). Clip the branches to length.

    • Use twine or wire to attach the thinner parts of the vine to the trunk.

    • Once the tree is created, add some sparkle with items such as crystal pendants from old chandeliers. Run some monofilament or fishing line through the pendant holes to create hangers.

    • To add more shimmer with pieces of mirror tile, cut a piece of monofilament about 2’ long and double it over. Apply a bead of mirror mastic to the back of a tile piece and embed one end of the monofilament in the mastic (figure C). Sandwich a second piece of mirror tile on top, press together and let the mastic dry before hanging.

    • String some patio lights throughout the branches of the tree. Look for lights that incorporate natural elements like grapevine balls.
