    Materials:

1 smooth lampshade and lamp base with platform bottom
    assorted acrylic paints
    Rumba Girl image
white craft glue or double sticky tape
    dimensional squeeze paint
    foam fruit stamps
    fringe
1 strand of Mardi Gras beads
assorted small pieces of plastic fruit
    hot glue

    1. Base coat the lampshade and let it dry.

    2. Using hot glue, affix fruit around the entire base of the lamp.

    3. Using the white craft glue or double sticky tape and affix the Rumba Girl image to the center of the lampshade. Outline with the squeeze paint to seal the edges. Flip the shade over and using paint, use the fruit stamps. Let dry. Add any other desired painted accents (figure A).

Note: You can print the Rumba Girl image on fabric paper, decal paper or regular laser colored copy paper.

    4. Use hot glue to attach a strand of beads to the top of the shade (figure B) and to apply the fringe around the bottom.

Note: If you don't want to make the elaborate Rumba Girl Lamp, you can use the Rumba Girl image and paint your light switch cover (figure C).
