Stuffed Animal Makeover From "Embellish This!" episode DEMB-105

Host Dina Fishbein and daughter, Lisa, show you how to embellish your teddy bear.

Materials:

Old bear
6 squares of tulle (for bear skirt)
Scissors
Variety of vintage and paper flowers
Variety of ribbon and tulle
Rhinestone button
Old beads from a costume jewelry necklace
Rhinestones
Red lipstick
Cotton balls
Wire for beading
Hot glue gun and hot glue
Small piece of pink fleece

1. Layer tulle squares together and bunch them together at the center and cut off the top bunch (figure A).

   
   

2. Pull the layers of tulle around bear's stomach to form a skirt.

   
   

3. Tie a tulle strip around the waist to form a waistband.

   
   

4. Glue on embellishments at the waistband.

   
   Safety tip: Make sure children are supervised when using a hot glue gun.

   
   

5. Cut tiny fleece squares and sandwich the tulle between the fleece square and the decorative flower on the topside of the skirt. Hot glue into place figure B). Continue adding flowers all over the skirt.

   
   

6. Give the bear a headband by tying a length of tulle around the head and gluing a flower on the bow.

   
   

7. String old beads and an old piece of jewelry onto a piece of wire to give the bear a necklace.

   
   

8. To make the bear's cheeks rosy apply lipstick onto a cotton ball and rub onto the bear's fur.

   
   

9. Add a little paper flower bouquet onto the bear's paw (figure C).
