    Experience Level: Advanced

    Materials:

    butterfly framework with holes
    26-gauge sterling silver wire
    pin back with holes
    3mm assorted colored crystals
    7 4mm crystals
    flat-backed crystals
    small piece of suede
    round nose pliers
    wire cutters
    craft glue
    tweezers
    E6000 glue

    1. Plan where you want the crystals to go on the butterfly wings.

    2. Attach the end of a 12 inch piece of wire to the butterfly.

    3. String on one crystal, and then wrap.

    4. Continue to add crystals, and then wrap until the wings are filled.

    5. Attach the end of an eight inch piece of wire to the bottom, thread several larger crystals, and then attach the end at the top of the butterfly. This will be the body.

    6. Use craft glue to attach small flat-backed crystals to the sections of the body which won't accept wire wrapping.

    7. Wire the butterfly to the pin back.

    8. Cut a small piece of suede to fit over the back of the pin, and then behind the wings--to hide all the wire-wrapping.

    9. Glue the suede in place using E6000, and then trim off any excess suede that might show.
