    1. Smooth the ends of the 1-1/2 inch pieces of wire with a file. Bend each piece around the tip of round nose pliers to make a tiny loop in the middle. Bend each wire into an "m" shape with your flat nose pliers. Bend up the "feet".

    2. String the head bead, the four leg pairs, and the body bead onto a head pin. Be sure the legs are all strung with the loop going the same direction.

    3. Wrap the end of the head pin to make a loop.

    4. Arrange the legs, and then add a drop of glue to the point where they all come together.

    5. Tie a length of clear thread on the top loop.

    Dragonfly

    1. String the wing beads onto head pins. Wrap the head pins, making small loops—two wraps on the top wings, three or four wraps on the bottom wings.

    2. Hammer one end of the three inch wire (figure A) to form a paddle. File end to remove any sharp edges if necessary.

    3. String a 2mm bead, the tail beads, body head, bottom wings, top wings, and the head bead onto the wire (figure B). Be sure the bottom wings have the wrapped loop face up, and the top wings have their loops face down. Make a bigger loop and two to three wraps at the top of the wire.

    4. Arrange the wings. You may need to twirl them around the wire and/or bend them slightly. Add a drop or two of glue to the point where they all come together.

    5. Tie a length of clear thread on the top loop. Suspend your dragonfly in a sunny window.
