    1. Cut wire in five 17" lengths.

    2. Fold wires in half. Feed on five small (2mm) pearls. With your fingers, twist the wire to make the pearls in a loop (figure A). Carefully continue twisting (four to five times) until you have a 1/2" stem.

    3. Feed one 4mm pearl on one of the wire ends. Draw it up near the first stem. Hold pearl 1/4" away from main stem. Hold wires and twist pearl four to five times to make another stem. Repeat -- alternating bead types until you have made a 1-1/2" to 2" stem. Each main stem will have six bead leafs.

    4. Repeat this procedure with remaining four pieces of wire.

    5. Once you have five completed main stems, hold them all together and twist together the wires to make a single branch (figure B).

    6. Using the excess wire, twist the remaining ends around to create a loop on the back of the flower. Smooth the wires with the flat nosed pliers if necessary.

    7. Attach flower to neckpiece. You can make a simple wire neckpiece by attaching a lobster clasp and jump ring to a 15" piece of sterling wire. You can also use a ribbon or chain.

    8. Bend and arrange stems as necessary to create the perfect bloom (figure C).
