Materials --Jewelry pliers Scissors 3/8" wide x 18" long piece of velvet ribbon Old rhinestone necklace or bracelet Gem-Tac Adhesive Decorative button with flat back Rhinestone pendant 2 jumprings Lobster clasps 2 large crimp tub with bail

- Cut ribbon to desired length. Fold in center and glue to form a V-shape with velvet face up on both sides.
- Adhere flat-backed button at the top part of the "V" and add a rhinestone in the middle of the button (figure A).
Tip: Antique stores are a good source for old jewelry. - Add a rhinestone pendant right beneath the button.
- Cut two lengths of rhinestones to fit down each side of the velvet (figure B). Adhere with adhesive.
Tip: Don't throw away any broken jewelry. Save it to use for projects like this. - Bead stores have a claw clasp that works great for this necklace (figure C).
- Just fit the claw clasp over the end of the velvet material and then clamp it down with a pair of jewelry pliers (figure D).
