Shamrock Necklace From "Jewelry Making" episode DJMK-307

Host Jackie Guerra creates a shamrock pendant with the use of four green heart-shaped beads and headpins.

Materials:

4 10mm emerald green heart beads
Assorted beads in emerald green with 1mm holes
Silver Neckwire, 1 mm
3/4" clear mylar circle
E6000 jeweler’s glue
3" silver headpin
Wire cutters
Round-nose pliers

1. Carefully position four heart beads on a piece of paper so that they look like a shamrock (points of the hearts to the center). Place a little glue onto the mylar circle and stick the mylar onto the hearts. Check to be sure the hearts are still positioned well. Allow to dry well.

2. Insert headpin thru two of the beads, running from bottom to top; form a loop at the top and trim off the excess wire.

3. Glue a bead in the center of the shamrock.

4. String beads on the neckwire, remembering to insert the pendant in the center. (The beads should be easy to run onto the wire; if there is a little resistance, use a bead reamer to clean out the hole in the bead.)
