Materials:2 oz. blocks of black and ecru Premo! Sculpey Clay Sculpey Glaze in gloss finish Pearlescent liquid acrylic (colored inks) Cotton swabs Black acrylic paint ¾" Kemper cutter- round 7/8"canapé cutter-round Bamboo skewer or needle tool Stencil brush
- Paint black sheet of clay with inks (figure A) and allow to dry.
- Cut two 7/8" circles from the painted clay, then roll circles into beads, pierce with a needle tool and paint with gloss.
- Bake bead, then roll out small coil or ecru clay, flatten and place around seam of baked bead.
- Roll out eight 1/4" balls of ecru clay, create teardrop shapes, then flatten. Place leaf-shaps on the painted bead and mark with tool to create leaf "veins" and texture (figure B).
- Roll two 1/8" balls and place on end of bead. Repierce the colored bead (figure C) and bake.
- Rub bead with black acrylic paint, then rub to remove excess.
