    Creating a new piece of jewelry is a great way to salvage a lone heirloom!
    Host Jackie Guerra salvages a treasured heirloom earring from her mother by incorporating it into a new pendant design.

    Materials:

    Vintage earring
    5mm beads wired individually
    Jumprings
    Clasp
    Gold tigertail wire
    Wire cutters
    Flat-nose pliers

    1. Create chain units. Create two 4" units, joined by the clamps and including a jump ring at both ends. Next, create two 4" units; two 4-1/2" units and two 5" units.

    2. Prepare the earring by removing the clip or stud. You may need to add to it in order to attach the three strands of beads on each side, either with jump rings, or by gluing a flat base with holes on either side.

    3. Attach the earring to the chain.
