  • Invisible Toe Ring
  • From "Jewelry Making"
    episode DJMK-201

    PHOTO

While the finished project leaves the impression that a stone or gem is floating on your finger or toe ...
    PHOTO

... the look can be changed by stringing beads all along the length of elastic.
Host Jackie Guerra creates an "invisible" toe ring with the help of a clear elastic band.

    Materials:

Clear elastic or stretch thread (in this demonstration, white is used for better visibility)
Embellishments, like a charm or bead
    Glue

    1. Cut elastic to fit one and a half times around your toe.

    2. Run a charm or bead on to the elastic and tie the ends together tightly.

    3. Dab a little craft glue to secure the knot.

    4. Run the bead over the knot while the glue is still tacky to set it in place.
