Looking for an easy, creative way to store all your bows and barrettes? Mary Lyon has the perfect solution -- a hanging ribbon bow holder! Materials:
Brass ring (one to two inches in width)
Three grosgrain ribbons in the desired color(s), cut to the same length
Fabric glue (Unique Stitch, etc.) - Find a small brass ring to serve as the hanger for the ribbon holder. Then loop one end of each of the three ribbons through the center of the ring and glue to the underside of the ribbons to secure (figure A).
- Once the glue has completely dried, braid the three ribbons together to form a single cord (figure B) and knot the ends together at the bottom of the braid. (Leave a few inches of ribbon beneath the knot to hang free.)
- Finally, just clip on your bows and barrettes and hang the adorned braid in a convenient spot!
