    Witch Crafts shows you how to spruce up your home with spooky Halloween decorations — floating ghosts, painted portraits and scary webs.
    Floating Ghosts

    Materials:

    4 yds. cheesecloth
    "Stiffy" fabric stiffener (by Plaid)
    silver craft paint
    white, iridescent ultra-fine glitter
    cylinder chip can
    3" plastic foam ball
    large bowl
    cookie sheet
    aluminum foil
    bowl

    1. Place the foam ball on top of the chip canister (figure A).

    2. Place on a cookie sheet and cover the can and ball with foil. Extend the foil to make a base for the ghost (figure B).

    3. Cut the cheesecloth into four pieces, two slightly longer than the others. Pour the "Stiffy" into a bowl and add a squeeze of silver paint and glitter.

    4. Soak each of the sheets of cheesecloth. Lightly wring each sheet and drape over the chip can and ball (figure C).

    5. Covering all of the foil. Pool the ends of the longer pieces of cheesecloth at the base of the ghost. Add additional glitter, if desired.

    6. Set the ghost aside to dry for a couple of days. Carefully remove the foil covered chip can and ball. The ghost will stand by itself, or can be hung.

    Haunted Family Photos

    Materials:

    photos of family and friends in picture frames with removable glass
    tempera paint
    paintbrush

    1. With the paintbrush and tempera paint, paint devil horns, mummy wraps and other spooky "costumes" on the glass of the picture frame.

    2. After Halloween, remove the picture frame glass and wash off the paint.
