Hosts Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza put a modern spin on the traditional Dreidel board.
Materials:Large plain store-bought frame Blue craft paint Paintbrush Letter stickers Glue stick Yellow and blue scrapbooking paper Fun paper punch Scissors
1. Remove the glass and the backing from the frame.2. Paint the outer edge of the frame blue. Allow to dry. Add letter stickers around the outer edge to spell Happy Hanukkah (figure A). Note: Hanukkah can be spelled several different ways. 3. Glue stick a base layer of scrapbook papers on the backing of the frame (figure B). Embellishments: Layer strips of paper around the outer edges to create a border (figure C).
4. Next, cut a Star of David embellishment and adhere to center of board (figure D). Punch fun paper shapes to embellish the outer edge of the board (figure E). Use family names or photos to further personalize the game board.
5. Attach the glass and backing to the frame and take the dreidel for a spin.
