    1. Trace cake board onto the wrong side of the fabric. Cut out 1" larger all the way around (figure A).

Tip: Pre-cut cake boards are available in some craft stores and cake decorating stores.

    2. Apply fabric glue to the cake board and glue the fabric into the center of the traced circle. Press down. Apply glue to the raw edges of the fabric a little at a time, and wrap onto bottom side of cake board. Pleat the fabric while gluing (figure B).

    3. Mix the pink paint, white paint and rose shimmer paint. All others colors are used straight from the bottle.

    4. Use a detail brush to paint a vine and then add darker green for accent. Add little curly cues with gold paint under the vines. Paint pink rose buds onto the mirror and then accent the buds with a little red (figure C). Let dry.

Tip: Stencils can also be used for adding design elements.

    5. Glue the mirror to the top side of the fabric-covered cake board with a hot glue gun.

Tip: If you use a low setting on the glue gun, it gives you a little more time to set it up.

    6. Paint the drawer pulls with gold acrylic paint. Let dry.

    7. Glue the tulle and mini-rose trim around the edges of the cake board.

    8. Take four wooden draw pulls and paint them with gold acrylic. After they are dry, glue them to the bottom of the cake board (figure D).
