    Materials:

    1 quart plain regular yogurt (not nonfat)
    paintbrushes
    12" terra-cotta clay pot
    sphagnum moss
    hot-glue gun and glue sticks
    old cookie sheet

    1. Place the clay pot on an old cookie sheet.

    2. Paint a thick coat of yogurt onto the pot (figure A). You can paint an all over design or use smaller amounts of yogurt to achieve highlights (figure B).

    3. Place outside for 20 days and watch the magic begin. Within 20 days you should begin to see brown and green highlights forming (figure C). Depending on humidity levels in your region, this step may take a few days longer.

    4. Hot-glue moss into a decorative pattern onto the aged pot (figure D). Gluing around the base and trailing up the sides creates a rustic, aged look.
